Eastern Panhandle WV Real Estate Blog
Tuesday, 27 March 2012

Hello from your Jefferson and Berkeley County Real Estate agent!  I hope you are doing well and feeling excited about spring in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle.  This is the time of year many people like to get outdoors and become active.  Because of that, I rounded up a few upcoming local activities you might be interested in.  Check them out:

Poor House Farm Challenge

This one sounds like a lot of fun.  Teams of participants run from station to station and engage in different fitness challenges that will test strength, endurance, and ability to navigate.  Each team is given a map and a score card, and at the end prizes will be doled out to those who fared best.  More details and registration information about the Poor House Farm Challenge is available on Active.com.

When: Sunday, April 1st, 2012 at 8:30 am

Where: Poor House Road, Martinsburg, WV

Appalachian Trail Community Spring Bash

The Spring Bash is a very kid-friendly event.  This free and open-to-the-public event features food and children's activities in addition to a "mini" Appalachian Trail hike for those wanting to get some activity in.  Visit the Appalachian Trail website for more information.

When: Saturday, April 7th, 2012, 11 am - 2 pm

Where: Bolivar Community Center, 60 Panama Street, Harpers Ferry, WV

Miana Stewart Scholarship 5K

This 5K run will benefit the scholarship fund created in memory of former Musselman High School student Miana Stewart.  The run takes place at Musselman Middle School.  The top three finishers in each age group for both men and women will receive medals.  It's a good chance to get in exercise while helping a good cause!  Check Active.com for more information.

When: Saturday, April 14th, 2012 at 9 am

Where: 105 Pride Avenue, Bunker Hill, WV

Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments about things to do in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle.  As always, you can stop in and ask your Eastern Panhandle real estate agents about buying or selling homes in the area.  For those buying, check out the Jefferson and Berkely County real estate listings on our site.
