Meet Kristin Stoner

  • Bachelor of Science in Marketing at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP)

  • Former Events Director for Almost 17 Years

  • Named a Kentucky Colonel

  • Lifelong Involvement with Clubs & Teams

Kristin Stoner is a Realtor® at Kable Team Realty. Rural living and the great outdoors are in Kristin’s DNA. She shares fond memories of growing up as one of the last generations to experience the creativeness and innovativeness that organically occurs from a child having no electronics to entertain them for hours at a time, and only returning back home before the sun goes down, knowing dinner will be waiting.

From Girl Scouts to shooting sports, from Little League to NCAA College Softball, and even now coaching her daughter’s softball team, Kristin has been involved with clubs and teams her whole life. With the work ethic and commitment instilled from this involvement, it is no surprise that she has found her fit with Kable Team Realty.

Upon earning her Bachelor of Science in Marketing at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), Kristin and her husband, who is also her high school sweetheart, found themselves in the DC Metropolitan Area for work. The couple both grew up in minutely small, rural towns in southwestern Pennsylvania. She laughingly confirms her hometown truly does not have a single stoplight.

While living in Northern Virginia, they missed the close-knit comradery of a small town, and always knew they would return to a more rural setting. In 2006, Kristin and her husband moved away from the hustle and bustle of the suburbs to settle in Jefferson County, WV and have remained here ever since. She reminisces that the area immediately felt like home to her, which is a feeling she is always excited about helping her clients capture as well. Being part of her community is so important to Kristin, and she was able to better do this in the Eastern Panhandle of WV.

Small-town roots produce personable people, and this is certainly not an area where Kristin is lacking. It is evident upon first meeting Kristin that she is passionate about being compassionate, and about the betterment of individuals for the whole. As a former Events Director for almost 17 years, her keen eye for detail and creating a memorable experience is not just part of her job, it is who she is. Kristin is deeply committed to not only helping her clients through their current transaction but making a life-long connection through making a lasting impression.

Kristin recognizes buying and selling a home is a major milestone in life, one that can be very emotional. Part of her commitment to her clients is to honor this transition by gaining an understanding of the significance of each real estate transaction on an individual level. It is a huge moment in a person’s life, and she is committed to being there every step of the way.

Community, Dedication, and Compassion

Kristin is deeply invested in Jefferson County. Some of the ways she gives back are through volunteering, coaching youth sports and being involved in her children’s schools. She is dedicated to leaving people and places better than she found them.

Kristin still holds individual pitching records as a 4-year softball pitcher at IUP, where she also received All-Region and All-American honors. She is also a Kentucky Colonel, which is “the highest title of honor bestowed by the Governor and Secretary of State in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. It is recognition of an individual’s noteworthy accomplishments and outstanding service to our community, state, and nation.”

Its geography, the people, and being family focused are just some of the reasons Kristin loves the Eastern Panhandle, and loves raising her children here. She happily shares that the schools are smaller, making teachers more available to each child, and the sports programs have not lost the focus on being fun, instead of overly competitive. She’s enjoyed the comradery between neighbors in each of the communities where she has lived in WV. She especially loves all of the nearby parks and vast history of the area.

In her spare time, Kristin deeply enjoys cooking, especially for her dear family, both old recipes and new. Around the holidays, she honors her family’s legacy by preparing recipes passed down from her mother and her grandmothers. Kristin shares that if she, her husband and two kids can be outdoors or playing sports they are happy. They love anything outdoors, and even have a parcel of land just to explore, hike, camp and make memories. Beach vacations, exploring the Smokey Mountains, sporting events and western Pennsylvania amusement parks are some of their favorite pastimes.
